I have always dreamed of being a missionary, and now God is calling me to go halfway around the world to help get the Bible to language groups that don’t have it yet. Behind the Veil is a public journal of a hidden life. Because my husband and I work in Muslim countries, there are many many things I cannot write about in our newsletters, share in churches, or write in in such a way that our identities and locations are revealed.

I want our children to know some of the things I’ve learned, trials I’ve faced, and how faithful God has been to us so that if DH and I would be killed, the children will have a permanent record of their mom.

My name is Ted. I’m a Lutheran pastor working to plant a new church with a great group of people. I’m setting up this blog to engage the core group of our church plant with some great gospel-centered material already free and online. When I post something I’ll either give my take and/or ask questions to foster greater learning and discussion. I hope that this site will not only be useful for our core group, but anyone who would like to understand how to better live the Christian life with Gospel-intentionality.
