The Suitcase Journals

"Unpacking My Lifetime of Goodies: Books, Stories, Quotes and More" is a brief idea of what my blog covers. I write simply to encourage others as I pass along God's Truth or important lessons I've learned over the past 50+ years, most of which has been spent working in the Christian book publishing industry.

A Quote To Encourage You:

"For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37 NLT

Everyday Confessions

I am a complicated lady trying to live a simple life. Following Christ and becoming more like Him is my goal, though as a sinful human I fail at this daily which is why I am so thankful for His grace. Join me as I journey through everyday life and dissect experiences through a Christian and Biblical lens.

A Quote To Encourage You:

Psalm 120:1 - In my distress I cried unto the Lord and He heard me.

Everyday Confessions submitted by Ammie Black.

Two Greek Words

"Theology" is derived from two Greek words, theos (God) and logos (word). Simply put, Theology is "words about God" or "the study of God." Thinking about Theology as "words about God" will hopefully encourage you not to be afraid of it! We learn Theology first and foremost for the sake of God and His glory. This blog will talk about God and look at the doctrines of Christian Theology. I hope you will join me in learning about who God is and what He has done!

A Quote To Encourage You:

Philippians 3:7-11 "But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead."

A Quote To Encourage You:

2 Corinthians 12:9

The Outspoken TULIP

n obedience to 1 Timothy 2:11 and Titus 2:3-5, I intend this blog for women only. I desire to help women grow in their understanding of God's Word so that they can turn from doctrinal error and distractions that weaken so many professing Christians. Persecution is coming. I pray that Christ will prepare women to stand faithfully for Him as we face opposition.

A Quote To Encourage You:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. ~~Romans 1:16 (ESV)

90 Seconds With God

This blog is published by Paul Anderson and the posts are from the writings of his father, Richard (Dick) Anderson, a missionary in the Democratic Republic of Congo from 1939-1975.
The blog uses the original writings of the dial-in program called "Inspiration for Living." A call each day offered a new 90 second recording which provided encouragement and hope and shared the promises from the Word of God. The program lasted for 17 years.

A Quote To Encourage You:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

90 Seconds With God submitted by Paul Anderson.
