You Can Trust Him

The purpose of this blog is to honor the Lord Jesus Christ in the context of our grief after the loss our son Hans in a car crash.  We declare that the true and living God is real, that He is good, and that he is worthy to be praised.  We hope to be an encouragement to other parents who are walking through this same valley; to rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

We desire to remember Hans’ life, to share those memories with others, and to draw every bit of good we can from this painful season in our own lives.  Our prayer is that because Hans lived, many might be brought to a saving knowledge of Hans’ Savior: God the Son, Jesus Christ.

Because knowing Jesus is everything.

Our Sheltering Tree

As Christian Women, we need encouragement -- I call it sheltering. Our Sheltering Tree's purpose is to encourage others and to provide creative ways that make encouraging others easy. I am rooted in Christ, nourished by Heaven's bread, and treasured by earthly hands. And that is my desire for each reader. Bible Studies, printables, Scripture Writing, devotionals...with the underlying theme of encouraging (sheltering) others with joy!

A Quote To Encourage You:

But now the Lord who created you, O Israel, says: Don’t be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. Isaiah 43:1

Test2Testimony

Some years back, while trying to start a family with my husband, we went through a difficult patch and struggled to have children. I experienced 4 miscarriages and almost gave up. Fast forward a few years later we have 2 healthy boys.Test2Testimony is the story of my journey. I believe that God allowed me to go through it all, and he was with me all the time. Now I have the opportunity to share my story and also encourage other women faced with the same challenges.

A Quote To Encourage You:

2 Corinthians 1 v 3 to 5 – 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
